Wow Ben, you must be extremely happy  :spoton:

Good to see the ute running so well, now time to put this tune into use and go get a good time.

Got mine running this arvo thanks to F6_Tornado - almost blew the tyres off it in 3rd gear

I have a boost gauge lined up for Saturday too for some more testing so we'll see what we can get the drag tune to do :spoton:

Happy??.. nah.. I just hope I can repeat it on the track with the bigger tune in it.

Glad to see gramps is good for something then???

The drag tune will go in today, just fitting a couple of things, then I'll see if the tyres can hold up when I find some dry road.. :spoton:

I think Jupiter just went into orbit with Saturn..... :tease:

its in mph. 0-100 probably is closer to 4 seconds.

Yep, true. I think 3.8 wouldn't be far off.

As for results, I'm working on getting the cat fixed today, it's stuffed..

I've attached some screenshots from my PDA.

The top pik is one of my 12.80 runs at the drags..

Tonight, I borrowed a friends driveway and tested my new tyres on my Street tune M6 XR6T did for me.

Results, in short.

0-100 in 3.65 seconds    :msm:

On street tyres ( regular, not DOT approved or anything funny ) on Tarmac..

Now, you can fiddle this number by just turning the tyres, but it shows as a squiggly line on the graph, and you would never pull 8.5 secon to half track.. You can also fudge the 1/4 mile time by turning the tyres, again, it shows up. Only one small hiccup, the chirp to 3rd gear..

The end result is not as quick as the wog tune I'm comparing it to, coz it's down 30rwkw on that.. but all in all, it'll run 12's all day on the street tune.

Oh, the tyres.... Toyo, TPG. 245/40 18.. $305 ea.. F*#$!kn brilliant when combined with my new launch technique..

Mate how did u do that time? I own a typhoon 05 with 329 rwkw & my best time was 4.90 with half throtle thru first & seond because it would fry them up & that's on standard tyers 2. I gave up after about 10 runs. f---k its hard but fun. :spoton:

I'll tell you how to do it next week. I just have to run down the strip to see how much better the technique is over the 1/4 and see if it works...... Although it's not just the technique.. A combination of things..

In all honesty, I have anywhere between 280 - 310 rwkw. In a ute. Very hard to get off the line, but I'll let you into a couple of tricks in the near future.

my 'street tune' gets me there in around 4.5 seconds, and that's aroud 270rwkw, give or take.

:msm:

As for the cat, SMB 4". The wind has started to bend inwards and crush the holes. Nasty. Probably lost 15% of the flow. If you have one, check it.. It's probably ted.

If that's what it is, then that's what it is. But surely that time 0-100 would have to put you in the mid-low 11's range.

Is your car that quick?

From interest what do you think your 0-100 time is/ would be with a 12.55 400m?

I have worked around a few issues. I can now launch the *beep* out of it and get out of the hole alot better than before. You can see by the rest of the run, the car lacks the power on that tune..

The closest I came to replicating that was 3.9 secs, but that was wheelspinning on the drag tune in 1st gear.

Is the car in it's current state capable of an 11, I doubt it. I need an extra 30rwkw for that imo. 330 rwkw in my ute, and I'm pretty confident I could go extremely close on a half decent track.

Having a look now at my times, it's a solid mid 12 on a cold night on street rubber.

Oh, on a second note, I ran an evo9. I absolutly barreled him on the launch and then until we got off the gas, but I may have just beaten the driver, not the car???

I've said it before, I'll keep saying it, you will not need more than 340rwkw to run an 11 in a manual.

I'm pulling 116mph. That's enough for solid 11's, but not with 8.5 to half track, and not with the gearing we're stuck with.

We're thinking outside the square, and chipping away. I'm not going to be the first to 11 secs, but I don't think it will take long either.
