At what speed/revs does the BA XR6T auto change into top when in Performance mode? Mine changes up automatically at about 4000rpm/160km/h (private road in NT etc etc....). Seems to change too early IMO, the car is still making power and nowhere near the rev limiter. Do other people's cars do this too?

Oh yes an excuse for a drive into the open zone, I'll let you know where mine changes.

From memory it drops out of top at around 140, scared crap out of me when I forgot I was in sport mode.

At the drags, mine is just changing into fourth as I cross the 1/4 mile line - 5600rpm - 190kph.

It's programmed to change into 4th gear at "speeds above 150 km/h".

As quoted in the Owners Manual.

Mine clicks up at just on 200kmh. Tested on private roads a number of times.

did you mean at full throttle or cruising?

I hate the auto downshift back to 3rd at around 140 in perfomance mode.it unsettles the car if you are cornering hard.

I think mine changes up at aound 190-200 at 100% throttle.about 150-160 when cruising.

This sounds about right.

I have confirmed this, and also my tuner guy has quoted this on his own XR6T.

It will also depend on throttle position. If you give it more, ie WOT, it will rev out way past 4000rpm before shifting to 4th.
