Hi all,

as the title suggests, im new to the forums in regards to posting, however I have been around here and there reading the posts.

Im coming up to a point now where im ready to purchase an XR6 T, however there are still some issues which I want to clear up and the search feature dosent seem to want to help me with!!

1) There are BA's and BF XR6 T's...from my limited understanding the differences are just exterior and interior? can anybody confirm the real differences if im wrong!!

2)Do all XR6 T's come with a 6 speed manual standard whether BA or BF?

that's all the questions I have for now, and hope 2 post more formally when I purchase a T.

Cheers

BA II and BF have the 6speed manual mate, BA one has the 5speed Manual.

The main draw card for the BF is the 6speed auto box and you should drive one of those before you buy!! I was sold on the manual untill I drove the new auto! :censored:

Also the bf turbo is 254 kw's at the flywheel.

All the ba's were 240kw's

make that BF 245kw

BA1 - original

BA2 - same as BA1 - except for 6 speed manual on XR6T and XR8. Plus trim changes- badges, colours, different wheel style for 17s, lights on window winder switches, better valve springs

BF - Bigger brakes, Variable cam timing (5 kw more and slightly better fuel economy), different colours, different front bumper opening for intercooler, different seat pattern (cloth seats), different dash plastic and door handles and finally the option of 6 speed auto.

The BF also weighs considerably less than the BA - I believe it is close to 100kg lighter, thus gets of the line a lot quicker.

Hmmmm didnt know that :tease:

Not to correct the king of modifing but I thought the BF has 245kw's not 254.
