If you think that's harsh, a guy was thrown into the slammer for 6 hours after warning motorists of little piggies hiding in the bush ahead.

Two days later, a journalist from the West Australian was pounced on and issued a move on notice for doing the same thing!

Shame on those piggies!

They stated once in Canberra that the whole idea of the cameras were to make people slow down, therefore, flashing someone so they would slow down was encoraged....Then again Canberra's coffers aren't running dry are they....

hehe that's exactly it !!! the effect of both guys with their signs was that the traffic slowed down, exactly what the tossers of the road safety campaign would have you believe was their goal with all the greed cameras...

another point from that story was that it only took the cops like 5mins to 'apprehend' this threat to society whereas the average burglary callout takes 8mins..

dont get me wrong I like cops, my GF's dad is a cop and a great bloke, its the lawmakers who are the tossers

you can get to the speed limit legally as fast as you like as far a I know

Im sure if you accelerate rapidly they will say you are attempting to test the cars speed - that's assuming you have failed the attitude test and the cop is one of the few genuine 'tosser' cops out there..

I know in vic that as long as you don't spin the wheels or a squeal then you can get to the speed limit as fast as you like!
