Replaced the SP9000's with the Goodyear GS-D3 F1's recenty. Sensational in the wet, ok on dry road but absolutely crap on the track. Sidewalls are far too soft for track work which is a big part of the reason they are great in the wet.

All up I would not recommend the GS-D3 Goodyear's unless you drive Miss Daisy regularly on wet roads!

Just put a set of Falkens Xeis all round and I can say with certainty,

They are black and they are round, quiter than Sp9000

But other than that.. I cant wait to burn them up and put something more decent on.......

Had a friend 2 weeks ago almost become a dead friend when one of her rear Falkens (17's) blew the whole side wall out, I mean complete circumference! Tyre might have been low on air (one of the front tyres was low when checked later) but investigation by tyre supplier failed to find definitive cause. I know I will NEVER buy Falkens for my car, too much at stake and unanswered questions about cause.

Are Michelin Pilot Sports for standard F6 18s really ~$620? I might be buying some soon.

Fark though, $2480 a set

Hi Savage D,

Michelin Pilot Sports II are an amazing tyre ... ask Geea.

The grip n powerdown these tyres possess is unbelieveable!!!!

Paid $570 for mine 3 mths ago

They are the best 245/40/18 road tyre out there ...
