Hey guys

Just noticed a slight creak at very slow speed seems like its coming from the drivers side front (steering area) I have checked front end and all looks ok and tight Any ideas

The 2 18 mm nuts on the steering rack is the likly cause grab a 18 mm spanner tighten them really tight.

Tried tightening as much as they would go

Does sound like a dried bush or something like that

I will try tightening again

There is a TSB for that problem. On one end of the steering rack there is an aluminium bush that fits into the crossmember. The aluminium on aluminium eventually starts to move and make a noise. They fit a stainless shim part number BA 3S639 A Shim Stainless Steel. The dealer fixed mine last week.

Got that shim put in last month

This was more of a creak stopped with a bit of WD40

If you cant tighten it enough pull them out and fill them with locktite...

I did that first but noise was still there

Traced fault to bottom control arm bush

So far so good :blink:
