Occasionally, when I do so, it says that there are no new posts. This is after it shows that I have a number of pages of new posts when I logon. Whatever I do, I cant seem to get to these new posts as the forum treats them as already being read. This seems to be happening more often than previous. Is this happening to anyone else?Has anyone worked out how to retrieve these new posts now lost?Regards,Arthur Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/24181-forum-gremlins/ Share on other sites

Home is always fine. Could have something to do with the enhanced security at work and super dooper vlan router trusts continually re-establishing connections and verifying static IP addresses. (No I don't know what I'm talking about but sounds good, don't you think?).In a nutshell - maybe its server / router / firewall related? I'd say it more proxy server related, it pulled up details from it's cache (Basically an area which stores recently visited websites rather than contacting the websites themselves, suppose to help cut down on web costs as if 50 people all access the one website it only downloads the website once) without actually contacting the forums server to verify that the details are the most current. I'd say it fixes itself when you re-logon as the proxy server can't process your logon details and as such simply passes all the details to the logon server and passes through any returns, however after that your back onto using the proxy pages...Sometimes pressing F5 on your machine will force the proxy server to re-update from the forum servers, but not always...Just my 2c...
