It's just the pinging that is annoying me at the moment. It's not a slight ping either, it's like there'e 10 guys under my bonnet hitting the engine with a hammer!I have filled up since with BP 98 RON. I will test it next fill. Could be my fuel pump now, maybe all the fuel going to the back of the tank when I accelerate hard.Sutty, when your car is running good, does in run well for more than one day? In other words, does temperature effect it much?Well, I am going to change the cat, pump and install my intercooler and see how it goes.Rob. Regardless of the issues with cat and level of mods, the tuner should do their job properly and tune accordingly. My advice is sort out the car as it stands now first unless you want to do more anyway. Valve springs will make a difference with top end performance.I am running over 330rwkw on stock fuel system with little problems, although I am about to upgrade pump along with my next lot of mods. There should not be any issues with the movement of fuel - particularly with higher tank levels. Obviously there are variations in the performance and a fuel pump is not so expensive so if it makes you feel more comfortable...People are running standard exhaust and cat quite successfully to 300rwkw - I do not beleive this should be a major limitation, however modifying this the same as modifying the inlet plumbing etc will allow the car to breath better, produce more power and run more efficiently.Regardless - none of your mods or lack there of should result in the car pinging. If FIST cant get you a good tune - go somewhere else! Your car should be producing more power safely than what it is... Good luck! Ben. What was in there before? If you had it tuned for 98 and filled up with normal unleaded it could mean ping city. I'm yet to see evidence of this. Where are all these "people"? I'd be particularly interested in hearing from someone who has this level of power with an AUTO. gogo Member of team Kittens Member 609 Member For: 21y 2m 7d Location: Melbourne Posted 20/03/06 11:35 PM Share Posted 20/03/06 11:35 PM The following link might be of interest...http://www.nizpro.com.au/cobra_kits_main.htmlThe stage two cobra kit from Nizpro will deliver more than 300rwkw with completely stock exhaust. I am sure they have fitted a number of these kits with stock exhaust, and others like on my car with modified exhaust.Just because most of us at this power level choose to change our exhaust does not mean that the power levels are not possible with the factory gear - just less efficient.cheers, Ben.
