How did this go?? Get it fixed.

In the latest Nizpro newsletter they got 290rwkw from a stage one package.

That's injectors, springs and a tune. No need for a cat change it seems..

Nizpro tuned my car and it wouldn't make anymore than 260rwkw's with the stock cat.

Some are good and some are bad.

Thank you to everyone for you feedback. We at FIST understand that not everyone to 100% satisfied at the end of the day. that is the way of the world. but I have personally offered for ROB to have a closer look at his particular situation at his earliest conveience. we have discussed looking at the car once a fresh tank of fuel has gone through.

by no means are we suggesting that anyone (especially the client of the car) doesnt know what they are talking about. it is the most important part of dealing with the client. the FINAL RESULT. we like to get feedback from everyone as we are not driving the vehicle on the street. taking the money is irrelevant if they are not happy with our work, as they will not recommend any mates to come and check us out.

we will be the first to addmit we have come across problem cars though. von the tuner stayed back until 7am sat last week to work on another problem xr6t. and as usual given the opportunity the issue has been fixed. which was mechanical related anyway. the client once again was not charged 1 cent more by fist then what he first paid, and it was not a fist related problem.

understood that it may be a bit of a drive to get to us. but at the end of the day the majority of you guys want to run your cars at the track. that means that you coming past fisty boyz. so if you would like to drop in for a coffee and discuss some of these things in person be our guest.

have a great week and happy hsv slaying. to the lion :stirthepot:

haha! I think my car is a female cos it gets in moods. One moment she wants to go like the wind the next....ping ping! I have run a new batch of fuel and it seems better, but I still hesitate when putting the *beep* down, I hate the sound of pinging!

I have noticed that the wastegate actuator spring is getting tired and doesn't like holding the boost so I think I will get a new actuator, get the intercooler done, fuel pump and then back in for another tune.

I think the gearbox is up for a service to so I will have to rip that out and send it away.

I will let you all know what the outcome is. And Alistair, thanks for the replies....I will talk to you soon mate, when I get a chance to drive this thing a little more!

Rob.

Mate, FFS!

Get your current issues sorted before you go strapping more bits and pieces onto it.

I doubt the cat is the restriction at that power level. Simon himself has extracted 271rwkw from an xr6t with only 968's, nothing else, so case in point. I fail to see why he has now changed his modification criteria??

300rwkw untill cat replacement I thought was the general concesus??

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

When I started doing mods a bit over 2 years ago, everyone was saying change the cat first as it was only good for about 250-260. I stand corrected - obviously times have changed. Are there really "heaps" of guys with AUTO's running over 260 with the std cat? Stick your hands up.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

I had 285 rw with standard cat. replaced cat with 3" pipe = 320rw :spoton:
