BF Mark 2 will have new shockers which improve the ride (which is already excellent), revised damper settings with new rubbers, something like that, and teh FPV will have DSC standard across the range and hopefully a no cost 6 speed auto gearbox.

Ford will have to do something, whent the VE Late model camira comes out. Its all tactics and what better then to rain on the competitors parade.

There was only really a 12 month gap between the BA MKII and the BF...

So I wouldn't be suprised if a BF MKII came out towards the end of this year if not early next year...

I would second the upgraded suspension theory. As I know the BF was meant to be fitted with this cost down suspension, but due to supplier problems it was not ready in time for the BF release.

I believe it is also an upgrade in ride quality as the dampner settings were recalibrated....but the foremost reason for the suspension changes was as a cost down measure.

I also speculate the performance BOSS V8's will be getting mid-life upgrade. Theres no way Ford Aus will hold onto the Boss for much longer, especially now that the market has well and truley moved on.

6ltr HSVs, 6cyl Turbos, all faster than ANY Ford V8, straight line and around the bends.

If it wernt for the Turbo, Ford again, would be at the back of the aussy performance pack.

I'd be thinking a Boss MKII kind-of arrangement, possibly a 6ltr. There was talk of this 12 - 18 months ago. Not that I have anything to back it up, other than the fact that it's now about time for V8 upgrade, not to mention its much needed.

Regarding the weight gain for VE, dont bet on a 230KG avg rise in weight. Seems too large - maybe 100 - 120 kgs. Their Late model camira V8 and V6 are lighter than the falcon equivilant.

If they come out with a BF Mk II, I think it will have:

- improved suspension,

- 6 stack CD standard,

- a stereo that plays MP3s and

- side airbags standard.

They might bring back Blueprint (nothing like a favourite color to attract the fans)!

New options may be a Bluetooth compatible handsfree carkit (add-on to the new stereo system that will be the new standard)!

They'll probably remove that bl**dy plastic cord that attaches to the fuel cap to the fuel pipe so that you can put the fuel cap on without m*cking around for ages.

Hope you're reading this Ford :spit:

Very much doubt ford would bring out a 6lt in oz. Australia is far to small of a market to warant it's own V8 and with the only 6ltr V8 in the global ford family being an oil burner it would be unlikley.

In an ideal world I would cast up a new block for the 5.4 increasing the bore and reducing the stroke. Increasing the capacity and making it out of alloy also wouldn't hurt. It's a joke having the heads the boss has then being hamstrung by it's long stroke. But when you put togeter a parts bin special your going to have to make some compromises.
