Guys there is a slight problem in ordering the BF Falcon. I went into my Ford Stealership Friday, they say that they can't get the colour I originally wanted. They can get anything else but that colour. What they tried doing was off loading another colour or the Demo (which is the correct colour)

Not sure what to do now, could wait til June when they say the next batch are due to arrive.

.......Muncher.............

Maybe the supply of particular colours to the NZ market is a bit dificult. I guess there wouldn't be the volume of sales over there. Also not as many dealers, and in any case they have a database to tell them if the colour you want is available at one of the other dealers anyway; so it seems to me you either take the demo at the right price or wait till the next shipment.

Geez the eN Zedders will love YOU - only been in the country a few days and you're whingin' already!:laughing:

Sorry mate - just couldn't help meself :spoton::spoton:

When I ordered my F6 I was told Mandarine was no longer available.

15minutes later I was talking to FPV on the phone and was given the explanation why that was the case.

Ask them to ring Ford so you can talk to someone and get them to tell you why you can't get your anymore. Either that or walk away, because if they can't make a simple phonecall for you then....

In the long run, it's just a color and doesn't change the way the car performs. But the customer knows best so I hear you there. I wanted to get my T in either White or Shockwave BUT I wasn't in the position of ordering new. Low and behold I ended up driving away with Rapid yellow which has grown on me. I look on the bright side (pun not intended) at least it's the car I wanted. Colour doesn't make a big difference, can always get it resprayed...

Best of luck, let us know the outcome.. \m/

I think colour is a huge factor in buying a car, I bet you wouldnt have purchased your Xr if the only colour available to you was a hot pink or poo brown.

Dazza.

Hi Guys thanks for the replies.

For me if I am going to spend a lot of money on a new motor, then I really want the specs, colour etc of my choosing. Shockwave was what I was after. At the moment they are offering the demo,in Shockwave but with 5000 plus K's on the clock, at nearly the same price as a newbie, so not a good deal there.

Will have to think what to do next maybe a Expensive Daewoo SS :spoton: ..............muncher

I just had the same problem from Ford stealerships in Sydney. They all say the colour is unavailable and try to sell me what they have in stock. I found one dealership in Sydney, City Ford at Rockdale, that said there were heaps of cars and all colours available if your willing to source it from other states. This just bumped the price up $500.

I went looking last week for the new Bionic colour but none left in the state so im getting shipped from QLD, who had 17 of them.

Dealerships will do whats in there best interest. On tactic is to hide cars off the computer system from other dealerships, so they cna sell the car ata better price or send it to another delaership at a beter price. just the games these ppl play with us.
