I opened the rear boot this morning and what I think is a huntsman spider (big spider) fell from the bootlid lip into the boot (it'd had obviously liked the little crevice under the boot lid lip). Being the nice guy, I thought I'd gently coax the spider out with a coat hanger but that only infuriated it and it sped towards the rear of the back seats and went down the crack between the boot floor and the rear of the back seats! I've folded down the back seats and removed the carpet covering but still can't find the little beastie. So, I'm open to suggestions how to extradite myself of this situation and hopefully have said spider out of the car. (I'm expecting humourous and serious replies, but I hope the serious ones will be useful!)Well, can I leave him in there to starve - like anyone know how long a huntsman lives for without food or water? Also, don't want to fumigate the car with insecticide as I have to the drive the thing. My strategy is at this stage is to remove all stuff from the back seat, parcel shelf and boot and wait for him to expose himself by sunning himself on the back window or something.I read that huntsman aren't venomous but their bite can cause local swelling.Well, feel free to reply or PM me. Thanks.

Either way though best of luck with it!
