Is it likely to be damaged driving it further?  I.e. will it make it more costly to repair?

I had my convertor sh!t itself on Wed night. Dropped the pan on the auto today and there are metal filings through the trans oil. The less you drive it, the less chance of more damage IMHO.

Haven't seen Darren around for a while.....is he still capable of walking after that pre-emption?

Yes...Darren and all his auto talk :pinch: ...definately put the mocker on it and the knee-capping is in the pipeline. :spoton:

But seriously, the auto is still OK - just the covertor shat itself, and it was modified - 1 month out of warranty - fuggin typical :spoton:

But "to be sure, to be sure", I rang Kewish on St Paddy's day and am organising for the auto to be strengthened next week. Then Darren's kibosh will be of no concern.

there is a fair chance that metal has gone through the whole tranny which will mean a total rebuild + conv.

That is what's happening.
