we are getting 150 consoles in our store and have 148 orders will be there midnight lauch working (DAMN YOU PEOPLE CANT YOU WAIT!!)

Its a good console and although the PS3 will have extra specs on it, its going to be at least late next year before we see it here I think. They said US price on the PS3 would be about 799 so that's alot of bananas to ask for in Aus dollars and Sony are well know for discounting the consoles and making it back on the games but they would be shooting themselves if they did that much on a PS3.

Yes the 360 is good but am I gonna be forking over that much just be be one of the first to "debugg" it ... mmm .. no

If you must though theses are the games Ive put on and had a go instore after hours in order of must get...

1. Ghost Recon Advance Warfighter

2. Condemed

3. COD 2 (Pretty damn similar to a high end PC)

4. PGR3

Stay away from the EA Games first round games they usually suck on their first console release, the other games are entertaining but 110 bucks for some is just too much

most of the first round Ea games are all ports anyway, which are chopped up for some reason.

Got my 360 and this gen is going to be awesome, PGR3 is hands down the best racing game I have ever played, followed by GP legends and then GT4.

Amazing I have gotten xbox live to work over a dialup connection and PGR3 is very playable with only 4 cars in the race, any more than that and it gets a little laggy, but still playable. I have full access to the marketplace and everything.

My gamertag is - turb06 if anyone wants to add me to their friends list and have a grudge match on PGR3.

I won't be doing anything till the PS3 comes out as everyone is still guesing at specs and cost. I'll wait and see. Despite the fact Sony has a huge market share over microsoft I still couldn't see them pricing the PS3 much higher than the X Box. But like I said were all guesing.

It's been about 7 months now, PS3 still hasn't launched and you can buy them for $500 with a hard drive, controller and a game. Will be interesting to see what they do once PS3 launches.

That's the price for the core system (minus HDD). The cheapest for the premium 360 is $587 at JB and there's an offer on for 360 premium, extra controller, Sonic game and Kameo for $698.

I've just sold my 360. I was heavily into games until 3 months ago but lost all interest when I bought the T . I can't afford to support both hobbies and one had to go. There was only one game I was hanging out for (Forza 2) and it still has a release date of TBA. Rumour has it it won't be until around May.

The PS3 has an rrp of $999 in Australia and won't be released until March. There's talk that it may be pushed back further because they still have shortages with the diodes for the blu ray player. DVD Crave (in Adelaide) have imported both versions (the core and premium) and are slling the core for $1099 and the premium for $1499. You'd have to be dead set crazy to pay those prices.

You'd think if you laid down a grand for a console you'd be all set for some next generation HD gaming, but nooooo, you have to purchase the component cables seperately to enjoy the HD goodness on the PS3. Most people also like to buy a couple of games with their new system so you're looking at roughly $1300 for a console before you even get home! Bad move on Sony's behalf
