get a pdriver who knows what to do take it down the track.

If it makes you feel any better my PB in the Phoon is 18 secs at 61mph

18.49 @ 59.00MPH to be exact.

My oil burning (petrol engine) astina is faster than that...

Hell, my mum could drive faster than that, in my astina... And she hasn't driven a manual in over 30 years.....

What RPM did you find best to sit at during staging ? I have a similar spec car to yours and was thinking of doing the Qtr run.

Never run an auto down the track before and ideas from the pros

Make sure your tyres are not wet. To do this make sure you finish the burnout well past where the water is. If you don't want to do a burnout drive around the water. The best stall speed in a standard auto is 2100rpm. You maybe be able to go as high as 2200-2250 but this hightens the risk of wheelspin.

Good luck and have fun.

Geea. :pinch:

I had a UNI-CRAP in my ute with a 3inch exhaust and a K&N Rampod filter and ran 13.2@105mph. :censored:

guys,

would it be safe to assume that an xr6t (auto) with edit/unichip and CAI would run a low 13/high 12 or just consistent 13's and roughly what MPH?

Cheers

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

As per my first post, with just Custom Edit and CAI, best of 12.98, average over 5 runs (at my 1 and only meet) was exactly 13.207@108.89mph.

I could've stalled a poofteenth higher, but was trying to keep the gearbox happy (if that is really possible)

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Just a quick question how much boost were you running when u got that time?

I have NFI.

Never got a boost graph from HPF, only Power and Torque (in N), whatever the f&*k that means. (Stupid Dyno software)

I would assume around 9 or 10PSI, but I am just guessing.

I was only stalling to 2000, as I was trying to keep the gearbox intact, although maybe the only damage done by stalling it higher would be the tyres via wheelspin

Just a note that the unichip is tuned to a set power level on its own, as it is with the phase II and Phase III kits. These power levels are set by the developer of the kits so expect the times and mph they make to be quite similar across the board(or range of tuners in this case).

credit where its due guy's the APS kitted C/v car did run a 10.9 @125mph, with all torque limits still in place, with the only internal mod being valve springs.

I feel personaly, the edit has out classed the piggybacks, but they are very fast at getting a new car going fast, very early in a cars life. the edit has to be the ultimute way of tunning, but we need some thing to trick the ecu's, untill the edits can be set up for each new modle.

I think at the moment even with the bf falcon 6 speed auto, the presures and shift times should be able to be bent to get more reliable performance out of the box, untill they can break the codes in the gecu.
