Anyone Own An Edited Bf T Or Phoon

I'm getting in readiness to edit my BF T and wondering if anyone with a BF has gone down the edit path and have taken the car in for a service since.

Of course you would have flashed back to the stock settings prior to a service, though I'm still trying to work out if Ford have any new equipment or easier way of seeing that you have tweaked your beast.

Interested in hearing of any stories, even the been to service and Ford said nothing, I'll be happy if lots of you reply like that.

That's a good call, except if I get Nizpro to do my tuning, I not keen on driving from the Northern Suburbs to Bayswater everytime I need a service.

My concern is when something needs fixing, I'm just curious at the moment if anyone has taken their edited BF to Ford for any service/repairs (bit early for these probably) and what the response has been.

Purchased my T and Phoon from one dealer. Serviced at another. Green Injectors are a give away . Service first rate "Sir we take special care not to reflash your ECU"..... onya's

I treat my car well, I am an enthusiast and they know that. Doesn't mean I am covered if I break bits. Though they did replace a diff in the T. Another dealer replaced the CVs after being sheared, again in the T with an APS Phase 2 kit complete wth Uni-Chimp..... Luck of the draw

Aw noor Hans! I hope the edit remains stealth. If my warranty gets voided though, I'll be down Nizpro for a Stage 2 kit before anyone can say "Hey, didn't you just waste your extended warranty?"

Hey man, where bouts are you in the northern subs?? im in coburg and have a BF aswell.. its done nearly 8000kms now. Im just about ready to to a custom tune and probably do the injectors at the same time.. so far its a choice between nizpro and hpf, but like u im not willing to keep driving to bayswater to get my car serviced. Have u spoken to any1 about the ZF auto and will it be be able to handle say 280rwkw and still be reliable?

I'm in South Morang, a little further north...

No I haven't questioned the reliability of the ZF box, although I need to speak with Simon from Nizpro and will be after some answers to a few questions, that being #1.

I'll keep you updated, I don't want to have to fork for a new ZF, that's when sh*t really goes bad for my wallet.

Two ways to look at this:

Be honest and they will probably look after you, but then again they might not.

Lie and tell them nothing and keep your fingers crossed they don’t find out. Co’s if they do then they know you are lying and payback’s a B!tch.

I use the honest approach and they look after me, but I also realize if I tear a transmission out after I have edited it it’s my problem unless it’s a common known problem.

Transmission is good to go at 300rwkws at this stage.. See what she is like in 30,000km.

Even if you don’t flash it back to STD before you service it, it’s a good idea to flash it over the top to remove any codes that may have popped up during tuning or road testing.

The mechanics like to record any codes on official paperwork for later discussion!!!! No Codes is Good!

they can see when the edit has been done, even if you go back to the stock settings, there are a few codes at change when the ecu is flashed, if they notice it see what they say but if they dont notice then good work!
