I got told today by the young guy that it could be my driving.I told him about some of the guys on here again and he reckons that the guys doing good times(12.9-13.5) would have the autos tricked up,also said that my gearbox might be slipping.

Im still waiting for the tuner(jim) to give me a call.I just want the car checked over to see if their is something wrong..

I am expecting a call back on Monday but am getting tired of waiting for a call back.I have called 3 times and left messages.

They should take some advice from other tuners on how to give good customer service..

Young bloke is full of sh*t. Your driving may account for the bad time but not the MPH. Most guys running over 12.5 will have stock auto's with standard stall. They are giving you the run around.

Geea. :spoton:

Im starting to think that the tuner isnt even getting the message. If I had the time I would have been down there at lunchtime today,I was too busy and stupid me thought that when you leave 3 messages that you would get a call back..

My mate who's car ran crap spoke to his tuner and they booked it in straight away for next Wednesday.

that is plenty of time between runs, so if you had good fuel, and plenty in the tank, we are fast running out of excusses for the tune,

it will not be your auto slipping at that power level. and most auto's are stock.

who is it?

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

I bet its Intune?

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

I had my car dynoed at my new Tuner, it measured 250RWKW, the original tune was done at intune 1 year ago and intune said I had 266RWKW, my new tuner was not impressed with the tune, boost comes on too strong and the A/F are not the best, he said it was lean. I have since fitted and intercooler and hi-flow CAT and waiting for a time to get it on the dyno as he is booked out, so till then I’m driving it easy. My best time on Gtech was 13.3 with my 250/266RWKW. I'm not sure if Intune has improved in a year but im not going back.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Its proabably the IC and CAT you have fitted since your first tune that is making your car lean out, so maybe not the tuners fault to begin with.

Dazza.

Who is your new tuner FREEDY??

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

My new Tuner is Jim at TuneHouse www.tunehouse.com.au, they have worked on my bosses white XR6, that’s how I was introduced to him, he is a true perfectionist

this was the run before anything was fitted or touched as I wanted a starting point to measure the gains from.

The car is booked in on the 29th.The tuner said that the car should have gone better but thought it was a bit weird that my mates car was off pace as well and was done by a diff tuner.

I did see another XR6T race that did a 12.8,it was shockwave and was wondering if anyone knows the car and if his times were what he was expecting.I tried to talk to him but ran out of time.Hopefully the car gets sorted and I'll go back out to WSID when its cool and do a better time.. :spoton:

Tell him my 12.98 was stock everything, but Edit and CAI. :spoton:

Still had the spare and baby seat in the back. Tyres still had 35psi in em, and 3/4 tank of BP Ultimate.

Mk2 Auto, if that helps.
