Don't you know what the accelerator pedal is there for?I take it the sedan consumption is on the XT though.Scotty. I don't baby the XR, it must be my shift pattern and the fact I almost never slow down for corners. I generally belt it to the speed limit in 1st and drop straight over to 4th or third and cruise, and try not to slow down on corners and change lanes around other cars. I give the XT a hard time also just because it is so damn slow, but once again I tend to drive long trips in Brisbane at constant speed (eg70km) with out and slow down. We covered the best part of 400 km and according to the DTE averaged 73km/hr. Now before anyone jumps up and says the DTE is never accurate, I test my fuel consumpyion each and every time I refuel (yes I am anal retentive) and it's very close to spot on.This run was a mix of sub 100km cruising (stuck behind Sunday drivers) and spirited driving whilst safely overtaking and through the twisties.I'm more than happy with this type of economy as I'm sure it will only get better with age. I have no doubt the 6speed auto is responsible for the improved economy. The 4speed auto in my XR6T used to give 14.3 L/100km and my driving style hasn't really changed. The Typhoon now has 3,500km on it and is starting to loosen up nicely. It goes in for it's first service Tomorrow so hopefully all the little issues will be addressed and we'll be ready for the up coming skidpan day.CheersBig AL Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/24040-full-tank-gets-you/page/4/#findComment-361393 Share on other sites
