He must have been delirious if he thought he was going to drag [the Lamborghini] off."The high-end Lamborghini, one of only 60 in Australia, can reach 100kmh in 4.3 seconds and has a top speed of over 300kmh. The Suzuki Swift hits 100/kmh in 10.0 seconds and has a top speed of 190kmh.Police inquiries are continuing. Wow...As for the lambo driver why not simply put foot down??? A quick blast from a set of lights would have put the swift driver back into his place very quickly...How on earth could the lambo driver have truely said he tried to get away??? Lifetime Members 7,935 Member For: 21y 4m 8d Gender: Male Location: Sydney Posted 14/03/06 02:02 AM Share Posted 14/03/06 02:02 AM I read this on the SMH website this morning. You cannot do much in peakhour traffic to try to get away, unless your car can fly.If it was me, I would just dial 000 and wait for the cops to arrive. There are some real hot heads that drive around with loud music blairing and all their windows down just itching for a reaction from anyone. They seem to be young of "ethnic appearence" and trawling for a fight. Theu are VERY common in the Sydney inner city and SW suburbs on friday/sat nights. I couldn't believe it took me half an hour to dig that POS out from the tread in my tyres! Unfortunately for him (and possibly fortunately for me) I wasnt at my desk - so he got the answerphone. But...What had happened was he was driving to work in traffic, and someone changed lanes at 10kph crawl without any space or indication, cutting teh workmate off, so he beeped. The guy stopped his lane change, and the workmate thought nothing more of it.What he didnt realise is that this nutter in a signwritten company car, followed him 30km out of his way to our work, and then jumped out with a knife - wanting to stab the workmate for beeping at him - and it seemed to be that the main problem was that the workmate was driving a 4wd Pajero, for some reason this guy thought that 4wd drivers thought they owned the road. The upshot of it all, the workmate called someone on his cellphone, and stayed in his locked vehicle. The nutter then threatened the workmate and the new friend who came along to help. He eventually left. The workmate then called the cops, who went straight around to the guys workplace and arrested him. So..... there are nutters out there - who do really weird sg*t just cause they are nutters, a simple beep certainly wouldnt normally justify wanting to stab two people, a 30km stalking ride in the car, and either a prison sentence or a hefty fine, and no doubt the loss of their job.
