Previously the only different parts were the valve springs, now they are both exactly the same, because the valve springs are now the same. I should know, I build them. After some of the early BA valve springs went soft Ford changed the specs on them to stop them going soft, but they are not the same as F6 as far as I know.<{POST_SNAPBACK}>Correct.From 10/2005 all 6 cylinder turbo's, regardless of Typhoon or XR6T all use the same valve springs. I wouldn't mind this if I'm saving some $$$ if the Valve springs are not needed. Edited 14/03/06 08:39 AM by GEoMaNTiK

For the road and drivability love my current tunes from Nizpro - the car is simply awesome! As Craig mentioned - ring both and have a chat with Simon at Nizpro and Rob at Hpf - then make your decision. Nizpro offer a warranty, but you pay a premium - both workshops have many happy customers.Injectors are the first main limitation for producing power beyond just the edit alone so this is what I would do. There is no change in drivability between injectors and not except the additional power that can be produced (about 30rwkw) - cold air intake and oil cooler for an auto are a very good idea as well.Good luck and happy modification!!!! Cheers,Ben.

Obviously this would drop the price.Considering I will be getting my T tuned towards Premium Unleaded (95 RON), does anyone think that just the Edit & Custom Tune will be reliable enough or should I just fork the extra $600 and go for some 969 injectors... You should expect about 15rwkw less on 95 than 98 so it is always nice to know you can fill up with good fuel and have a little more go available. Both will be reliable for the fuel they are tuned for. Injectors will increase power for both fuels, but the difference between them will grow a little(ie 98 fuel should increase slightly more). Both Hpf and Nizpro should do this for you as part of the custom tune (you have three slots so usually a (95 map, a 98 map and a valet map!)Cheers, Ben. If you want to pay extra for something you don't need, go ahead. Edited 16/03/06 07:39 AM by Venom XR6

You see LPG engines run different inlet valve to all the others N/A just have std material valves,Turbo's have inconell exhaust valves and Typhoons have standard turbo valve but with different valve springs.Imagine all the exta stock Ford would have to have assembled if they had all these different heads in stock waiting, compared to just selling bare units.I'm afraid if Nizpro has tested them them he would be 99% correct. THEY ARE EXACTLY THE SAME. On the BA they were different. Red paint on the cylinder head was an XR, blue was an F6. The only difference was the springs. Now they are all red, which means the valve springs are all the same now. I even quiered the engineers during the the FEU builds and yes, the valve springs are all the same now. Can that be any clearer.
