Guest Guests Posted 11/03/06 03:59 AM Share Posted 11/03/06 03:59 AM Hey everyone, I was driving back from a freinds place late yesterday evening, whilst visiting him though, I was given an officially released CD of a music event we all went to about two months before, FAT BOY SLIM live @ Bondi Beach.(note. there was no excessively loud music with windows down and seat in a near horizontal position)Not paying any real attention to the anything other than what was on the road, a particular track began to play and gradually I noticed.a) Fingers tapping on steering wheel b) I'd readjusted seating position to adopt a more 'assertive' driving stance.c) More inclined to depress accelerator earlier. d) Remain in lower gears right through the rev range longerd) Meeting the indicated speed limit soonere) Praying that one day I can take the ute for a strap on an Autobahn or Australia adopts Autobahn and brings them online. Now five mins earlier, there was no of this! so I decided to experiment, I played the next track and my symptoms had gone, I actually began feeling tired. So to banish the signs of fatigue, track sixteen was played again....BINGO, wide awake! We all love our cars, and of course we drive these vehicles according to our needs, whilst abiding by the rules of the road. If there is one achillies heel for 'responsible' drivers such as all of us who utilise this website, and this heel applies to me, it's that certain music will tend to subconsciously urge us to flirt with the illegal side of these road rules.I want to know what music or paritcular songs do all of you listen to when driving that may produce some of the driving symptoms similar to what I experienced.I'll be the frist. The dong in particular is:Track 16 of the FatBoy Slim. Live@Bondi Beach Album."Bump and Grind"Features a really pronounced, drum beat and crescendo like bass beat.As idea, depending on feedback from forum members regarding favourite song or music type, I'll put it all together on the CDj's and with the software I have, mix, cross fade, edit and produce a compilation. Look Fwd to seeing the responses.Darren
