Guest Darule Guests Posted 11/03/06 03:58 AM Share Posted 11/03/06 03:58 AM Been successfully running the 8psi tune with factory plug gap without issue. T/C worked perfectly (Never switched off).Regapped the plugs and flashed the 10psi program in, suddenly T/C is being turned off.Went back to the 8psi map, now it is turning the T/C off. This is the second flash unit I've had because I was suspect of it not writing the programs correctly to the ECU.Flasher unit and programs are Nov 05.Ps: Although the boost gauge shows 14psi on the 10 map and 11psi on the 8 map, I feel the 8/11psi is a better performer. Any suggestion/thoughts?

Alot of people have been complaining about it for a while. My flasher is only a couple of months old.Why didn't it do it orginally with the 8psi tune, but now does? I know the TC issue was big a while ago (woe betide anyone who complained!) but I thought it had been resolved....

Guest Darule Guests Posted 15/03/06 06:37 AM Share Posted 15/03/06 06:37 AM Spoke to CAPA today and they told me that I already have the latest version installed. So there appears to be no use in returning it as it will come back the same way! But yeh, I was under the impression that the T/C issue had been fixed! By working we are saying that when your rears let go, the traction control fights to get traction and then stays on (as opposed to red light coming on / turning off) in readiness for the next squirt.Personally my TC (Nov '05 update custom tuned) does work and continues to work if wheelspin has been detected as a result of going around a corner or wet roads for example.Bagging up the rears half way through first and into second (auto) is another story and I figure this scenario is just too much for the TC to handle. My car had the generic tunes since I bought it (5 months) but now has a Nizpro tune. The traction light would come on, then go off again, then back on when the t/c was doing something. Isnt that how its sposed to work?
