Ford Dealerships

Hey mate,

I will not ever take my vehicle to anyone other than City Ford in Crown Street, from personal experience and having dealth with them now for two years...I've never able to flaw them.

If you decide to take your vehicle to them call Dimitri, the youngest service adviser there, his knowledge of all things mechanical, auto electrical through to body and panel work is astonishing.

His direct number is: 02 9332 8159

Just so he's not puzzled as to why all of a sudden the keen interest, tell him Darren with the black XR6 Turbo ute, referred you and he'll take it form there.

I will guarantee that he will keep costs to a mimimum.

I can't recommend City Ford and Dimitri enough, just the other day, the ute, after coming back from the repairer on completion of having insurance work carried out, was running very rough, with a rough idle and occasional stalling when down in the low rev range.

With sleeves rolled up, he grabs the keys, takes it up to the workshop, cleans the throttle body, checks the plumbing and connections, leads and plugs, brings the ute back down and problem solved, 20mins it took him.

If you have any modifications your not wanting ford to know about, he's awesome at keeping a secret and working around the problem should it be a warranty issue.

Goodluck

Fact : I used to have all my servicing from Peter Warren, Warwick Farm.

Unfortunately my experience with City Ford (Crown St) hasn't been as rosy. I have been waiting since 01 Feb to get a new diff housing. It turns out that just the seal will be replaced but my gripe is that on the three occasions that I rang to see what was happening I received no return call. I'm a fairly patient bloke who doesn't like to complain but ultimately it wasn't until I called the service manager that things got rolling. The T goes in this week (I will even get a courtesy car).

Hopefully when the work is done I can speak more favourably of them.

Peter Warren at Smithfield - Talk to Dean he is a salesman there but will introduce you to the service guys. Deano also drives a modded XR6T.

Guys have looked after my ride from the start including work when its very obvious the car has had some mods done. :spoton:

Regards

M G

Alto are the brainiacs who, when keeping my AU 3 days for warranty work, decided to wash it with a dirty sponge (it was black). I got it back scratched to buggary. All they did was detail it, which looked OK until I washed it and the coloured polish they used washed off. After that they refused to do anything about it. Ford Australia wouldn't help, they said it was a dealer issue.
