I think its a very good intuitive, if you are competent enough to use the tuning tools properly.

I am hoping the 6 Speed auto edit  software will be ready before this package,  as some of us don't have the full functions needed on our current flashers.

Habbib,

I think you are on the right track there with 'if you are competent enough to use the tuning tools'. The problem is that people overestimate their own abilities sometimes, which could lead to a few issues here and there.. ;)

Lets just say I think this wont end up being that bad for the tuning workshops once a few of these boxes get out into the hands of the general public! :spoton:

Hopefully I will be proven wrong but I am a bit of a realist (cynical old bas*ard..) so please forgive my slightly 'the cups half empty' outlook on this one :spoton:

Cheers,

Kris

Think of it this way, instead of me having to physically send my box back to Simon in WA for adjustments, he can simply get on the phone to me and say, try this or that.

I certainly wouldn't do anything without some proper guidance even though I think I do have half an idea.

Bloody great idea and more importantly, times up!

Personally, I think it was all a bit of research for xcal II ( rebadged )

There is really no financial benefit for CAPA to release Flash Tune V3 Home tuner when xcal II is up and running in the states, set to be released here if they wish... SCT havce the requirements for our BA, BF with some workings and it wouldn't be hard for them to implement them into xcal II at any time imo.. It runs the same software as Flash tune, so the crossover should be relativley easy..

Time will tell, but I'm hunting for an exede in the short term.. edit base tune, exede tickle.. It works for geea.

We run edit for minor things and rdp computor for the main controls works great.

This is going to create a lot of business for the engine builders and auto gearbox repairers.

I'm leaving my tuning to the pros...

Totally agree with the above

I did read he went a full edit tune with better results. I also know he still runs his 2 map setup. Something which has some appeal to me.

Gotta be good though, get my wog tune sent over with the basic go hard tune and throw some finess over it with the xede..

Small changes wont require the box to be shipped back and forth between the 3 tuners I have in my flash box. I can store 12 tunes in the xede which will sort out any niggles I might have between the tunes.

Until they release a home tuner package, it's the only way to tune your own car for now. With a good edit tune as your base I think results will "speak for themselves".
