There is no moaning. At least not from this end. We arent in the business of promising a product and never releasing it. History proves that point. The instant solution that you can have today though is purchase the dealer level software. You get cheaper flash tuners that way, and can tune others vehicles. Many have done this. The other option is to wait till the product is finalised....which unfortunately takes time.

congrats martin, this one of the better responses I have read from you. Its to the point, without the derogatory over tones (well almost none). This is a genuine complement and not a shot at you.

You can pick at the situation anyway you want Jordak, and if it makes you feel good, then its achieved something. The bottom line is the product is being worked on and is partially based on the input given from these forums, so any comments given here were helpful. Whether CAPA put it to the market or not is their own business. Their instruction to me is that they fully intend to sell this product, and my task was to define its structure. Part of that process was to release information about this product in CAPAs paid sponsor area and analyse the customer request. This process is still ongoing. I do no doubt for a moment that Eugene had the discussion he quotes, but no matter how discouraging I dont believe it has a major bearing on the future of the product in question.

Same conversation, same result, " Doubt we will be doing it at all", no discount on full version software?

So I take it that you never had this conversation Eugene?

I am a bit confused by this post, why would I post this if I had not spoken to Tony About the software?

My read on the situation is this, Capa and SCT are developing the "home tuner" package, and using the feedback from here to build in the features the performance guys want,

OR

they are using it (feedback) as market research for the soon to be released tuner that has the used changable settings, and the LCD screen etc, I cant remeber what its called, but its two weeks away.

Either way its up to them, I dont have a beef with Capa over this product at all, in fact I dont have any interest in buying the home tuner pack, Myself and Muzza, are trying to scrape together a spare $2500. to buy the full version, my interest was purley in the working of the home tuner pack, more to, if we spend $2500. on the full dealer version, are we going to be able to tune the new boxes, what can the dealer software do that the home tuner cant etc.

Are we going to get our money back I suppose is the main question, I know I could drive to melbourne and have HPF or Nizpro tune my car, but If I change hardware, im screwed and another tripto Melbourne is required, if I have the software, end of drama.

But a spare $2500. when you have three kids, two cars, a wife ETC is not too easy to come accross, so we want to be sure we can get our money back.

There are T owners (and I am one) here in Newcastle begging and waiting for this to happen. My offer to pay up-front for a custom tune (to help raise the $2500) is still there. I am tempted to go to Sydney as 1 guy I know has already, but as you said, if you change exhaust, cooler etc, it's back down to Sydney. A local tuner would be great and I'm sure he would earn the $2500 back well within a month.

I think its a very good intuitive, if you are competent enough to use the tuning tools properly.

I am hoping the 6 Speed auto edit software will be ready before this package, as some of us don't have the full functions needed on our current flashers.
