G'day everyone, ever since I have owned my XR6T I have been getting a sore right ankle due to the crappy new layout of the brake and throttle pedal. My ankle is on a sharp angle when I apply the brakes and almost slips of the pedal, the only way to straighten my foot on the pedal is to straighten my whole leg but then my knee hits the keys and I have even managed to accidentally turn the engine off once.

I have tried everything to get a good seating position so my feet press the pedal/s properly but just cant. So does anyone know if I can get power adjustable pedals installed since I didnt order them when I signed up to buy the car? I'm hoping that this could help the problem. I think the brake pedal is way oversized aswell which means my foot touches the pedal in the cup of my foot instead of more towards the toes.

I believe they can not be fitted after it has been made.

Funny I have size 13 feet no problems here and my wife has size 6 feet and she has no problems.

Cant say I have ever had that problem. what is your seating possition like because this may be the issue more than the peddles

I asked the same question when I had the ute as my wife is a shortie. Ford can supply the unit (motor and switch from memory) but it was expensive. My advice.. give ford spare parts a call or see if you can source one from a wreck.

Well my seating position is fairly close to the wheel (about half way between fully back and fully forward as I hate having my arms outstretched from the steering wheel. And the seat is at its lowest position. The steering wheel is fully extended towards myself and the wheel is at its highest level. Seems the steering column plastics in the BA onwards have gotten bulkier and the ignition barrel is lower then before giving less room for taller people's legs.

On another subject does anyone else have loud clunks in their power windows especially at the front when the windows get to the bottom? Have had my windows repaired twice now to no avail, seems some foam block keeps falling out allowing metal to metal or something.
