Hey all

Going to do a exhaust mod. New 4" dump, 4" cat and 4" pipe split to 2.5" to meet the stock system  , but the stock pipe has metal shielding wrapped around it.

Does that mean I have to do the same to the 4" or can I just take it of and forget about it. What has everybody else done or is this shielding new to the BF

Don't worry about the heat shield on the exhaust.

There's heat shields on the chassis, steering column, underbody and the engine mount on the RHS to protect all the bits, so it will be fine.
