Ok people's, so just how does one get rid of the whine, when using an mp3 player such as my iPod?

Is there some sort of filter you have to wire in maybe?

Thanks in advance

BTW, anyone with an iPod, I can recommend the Griffin 'RoadTrip' accessory...it plugs into cigarette lighter outlet, securely holds player, charges Ipod & uses an FM transmitter you adjust to same frequency as in-vehicle radio and, voila, iPod tunes thru the car's speakers....now, just have to get rid of that whine/interference from what I assume is engine revs (happened same in previous non-turbo XR6 too)

Cheers

BP

I have supposedly had the booster installed from factory, but when I plug in my mp3 player, I have to crank the volume right up to get any sound.

If I'm reading it right, it "should" be installed as the booster comes with the retractable cable which I have.

Any thoughts? Anyway I can check the booster part has been installed?

Might have to talk with the service guys.

I have fitted the booster kit and yes the whine is still there. The trick is to have the mp3 player a max volume and adjust by the stereo volume control.

there are easier ways to remove the whine, but it would mean throwing out the ford product booster kit and replacing it with one that boosts the signal and removes the whine.
