Or, air in the system that puts a spongy feel to the clutch however, that also typically results in clutch drag as the clutch is not fully actuating (full stroke) and can't release. If the pressure plate has lost its spring pressure or has broken fingers, it will also cause inadequate clutch plate lock and under heavy acceleration, the clutch will slip quite easily. Any symptoms of that or did you nurse it to the dealers?Anyway, if it is a pressure plate, that should be warranty. If it is a burnt clutch plate (which shouldn't give the symptoms you describe) it is unlikely to be warranty.Good luck.p.s. Can always rely on you for a bite..... Damn, fishing is fun.... The seals in the slave cylinder were buggered and the fluid was bypassing, the clutch would disengage the gears at first then slowly engage them again under their own steam. Keep us informed Shaz Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/23788-what-happened-to-my-clutch/page/2/#findComment-355624 Share on other sites
