hmmmm a grand or two grand for an upper half of an inlet manifold....seems a little excessive....having said that there's a fair amount of costs to recover when producing new castings.

I'd like to get my hands on a manifold and have a go at converting it. I bet you it would be easy to make a "sandwich plate" out of milled aluminium that would get everything lining up. Something like that would only cost $100 to do on a CNC milling machine once it had all been worked out.

Anyone got access to both halves of an inlet manifold they care to donate to the cause?

Try your local ford service centre. i priced on a few months back and im pretty sure it was less than $250. or just go find a wrecker there should be plenty there. the manifolds have been around since the "E" series cars.... :stirthepot:

Are the manifolds the same for the older cars then? I paid $170 NZ for an BA one from a breaker, the AU and earlier were cheaper but the guy said they wouldnt fit?

the numbers on the parts dont match but I'm not convinced

BA manifold top 3R23-9425-AA bottom RF-3R23-9K461-AA

EF mk2 top 94DA-9425-CB bottom 94DA-9K461-CB

What do you guys think?
