Commodores released the Amiga in the mid 80's and those things where fast... Amiga 4000 with accel card could easily go faster than any of the pentiums when they where first released... Pity the company was sold to another company which held onto the tech for about 10 years before finally going down the crapper...

My parents had an Amiga 2000 with accel card, and that thing would out preform 486's (when they where good...)

BTW I do get you joke... tis very funny...

Shows you how cheap computers are these days, in 1989 the 8.5 grand for one of those computers would have bought you a new commodore, the car that is. Spend that 8 grand today and you would have a machine to rival super computers of only a few years ago.

OMG....does that say 20 Mhz? That's insane!

Was only just reminiscing the other day about my first PC with the 40mb hard disk, now have 25 times that amount in my phone. :spoton:
