Sure it wasnt a TURBO starlet or something like that:blink:

I used to have a TX3 turbo FWD 1.6 litre laser with front mount cooler, exhaust, chip and 10psi boost and it only ran high 14,s.

I find it hard to believe a NA Swift to knock off a BA XT.Im not saying an XT is Quick but I think quicker than a Swift

I think whats being forgotten here is that a GTi swift is half the weight of a falcon and is also the sports model to 100k`s it wouldn`t suprise me the same reason a motorbike would beat a high performance car get over it.

I recon my girlfriends little 5 speed Fiesta is quicker 0-40km/h then my Fairmont. The gears are pretty tall in the 4 speed auto with the 3.23 diff, plus considering the car is 1700kg it does not help! The NA XR6 feels a lot punchier of the line with the 3.45 diff, but still nothing to great.

If your made had a 5 speed XT it would have been a different story.

don't under estimate the gti, I had a swift gti, I took it out to Heathcote park and it ran a 15.4 dead stock with street tyres at 82 mph, and ran a 12.7 at 111mph with slicks small turbo kit running 20 psi of boost though :spoton:
