Im pretty sure a member here, BADXR6 has run either a 12 flat or 12.1. He now has more power but hasn't run down the strip since his latest upgrades. That time is from nearly 12 months ago.

From memory the problems they where having had to do with the time it takes to change a gear, whilst stock standard the manual is quicker as soon as you start modding whilst you can get more of the power to the ground in a manual (so when you do accelerate I expect your actually doing it faster than a manual) during gear changes your putting nothing out (and you may even start slowing down)

whilst there is lag between gear changes... the biggest problem with the manual is getting power to the ground from the line!!

There are a few of us here in Vic that are going to have a fair dinkum crack at getting 11's in the first instance. A little ambitious for me at this stage but a new clutch, some much needed practice, then we will see how much more power is needed. In the meantime expect to see Nizpro and some of their other customers have a bit of fun...

Manuals will almost certainly be into the 11's and posibly 10's before the end of the year.

Cheers,

I would love to know what it takes to get a manual into the 10's. I went for a ride in my neighbuors VL turbo (auto) the other day that pulled a 10.8 and it felt WAY quicker then my manual 338rwkw XR6T.

Gogo: Out of interest, what's your rev limit set at?
