might be a little off topic, but how much do people usually donate. when um donating?? is buying merchadise considered donating...

Hi Mate,

Donating is entirely up to you. You can see how much others have donated in the Donations Thread

As for buying merchandise, the merchandise is basically cost price + a tiny margin which helps to develop and purchase more merchandise to sell. Sort of like an endless circle.

But definently donations help! They help cover the costs of hosting and further enhancing the site. :idunno:

I agree with some of the things that has been said, but sadly, I think with a FAQ section, many people will visit the site once or twice, get the info they need and then leave, never to be seen again. Sure, some topics come up again, but that happens a lot just in general conversation. How many times have you guys spoken to your mates about Expensive Daewoo vs Ford, which footy team is better and so on? I know for me this stuff comes up all the time, and nothing new ever entered into the conversation! With a FAQ we may see the amount of new posts made dwindle off. Sure, you'd get the regular few coming and posting and a few newbies and that is it. We want the core of members staying and contributing.

As a reletavely new member, I can say that I used to go on the computer almost purely for work. Now after discovering this site, what do I do when I turn the computer on? Go straight to fordxr6turbo.com!

With a lot of these things you've got planned, like everything, they cost money.

I think the site is damn fine as it is!!!

StaggerLee,

I tend to agree with you on that. Im sure our members would gladly help anyone asking for information and the search feature is always at hand!

I think one thing i may add though is a FAQ for the Photo Gallery. That would help with questions like how do i post a photo and the like.

Absolutely ace site!! I've never been as involved with a forum as much as this.

Agree with all that's been said, including looking for threads, 'cause even in my old age I forget where I was at times. I know that we can use the "Track this thread" button, but I don't always want to track the subject.

Is there an easy way of finding out which members are in a particular area? Like W.A. frinstance. I know of some W.A. members, but there are probably others that I haven't come across yet.

Keep up the good work - I'll be donating soon. :tonguepoke:
