That's good to see you've got it all sorted and are happy now.

Those fuel figures are same as mine.....  power outputs are also comparable.

Have you any intentions of running down the strip?

I'd be keen to hear how you go.....

Unlikely to go down the strip but intend trying to get onto the Nowra airfield at sometime in the future to ascertain 0-100, 0-160 and Vmax.

gotta be happy with the work... Nizpro continuing the great work :censored:

How often do you use 91 or 95 RON petrol? It's the first time I've seen someone actively tune to those fuels.... not bagging it at all, just the first time.

Cheers,

Miyagi

I use Woolies Caltex 95RON nearly all the time unless there is a reason to go for the big numbers; after all in excess of 280RWKW aint bad for pottering around the Nation's capital.

Good question and don't know. Suspect its an off-the-shelf jobby as there were a few sitting in boxes at Nizpro. Considerably larger than standard, making fitting less than a job for the feint hearted but apart from one small change to the length of a hose all of the plumbing stays stock and I had it sprayed black to match OEM colour and maybe that improves its thermal properties by a gnat's whatsit too. All of the air intake temps were down about 35-40 degrees from past runs at the same ambient temperatures, sufficient to allow more timing = more power.

Given that all of the plumbing stayed stock, it is a single pass, late PWR, the early twin pass required a fair bit of chopping of the top hose.

Great result, im glad your happy, it has been a long and bumpy road for you so far, you deserve to have a car running well. :spoton:

Good write up Dingah!

Pleased you are happy with the final results!

The tractability of the tunes Nizpro did for me was the real winner in my book - just magic drivability.

Well done! :spoton:

Cheers,

Ben.

Did this test last year, see this topic. Achieved with stock valve springs too.

Interesting read. I beleive that the difference between 95RON and 98RON equates to around 4.5 degrees of additional timing advance which is fundamental in providing the additional umpf.

Great write up.

I've always liked reading your posts, ding. Whether they are informative or not, they are never lacking in eloquence or understanding.

You/nizpro have achieved a great result; keep up the good work.
