Hmm, all hes saying is that its the same as the XR, hes not disputing that its a crap interior really.

Theres very little difference between the XT and XR6's as hes stated, especially if you dont get any options like Premium sound and Leather, basically they are identical except for the seat trim / supports and the instrument cluster, how that makes it so crap ill never know as its comfy and does the job.

I read this so many times about how the XT interior looks "so" plastic in comparison to an XR or Fairmont or Fairmont Ghia. Blah Blah Blah........ 

All the interior plastics in the XT, XR's and Farimont's is the same! The only difference between the models is the seats and trim. Apart from the additional features in the higher specs cars like Fairmont and XR with luxury pack the rest is all the same. 

So I do not understand how someone can say that an XT interior is so much worse then their XR?? If you have a base XR6 or XR6T, your car is based on a XT Falcon anyway! Like I said before other then the trim, leather seats, leather wheel and the premium ICC if you have it all the other bits are identical.

How some people can say that the XT interior is $hit in comparison to their XR is beyond me because it is the same interior. All the plastics are identical, made from the same grade plastic etc etc etc. I do agree that the XR seats do look nicer then the base model seats but that is the only major difference.

The interior is all in the same place as the XR but it looks cheapo and plasticie and I have seen Taxi's that look better.

How can that be true when both the base model XT and a base XR have an identical dash appart from the steering wheel and guages??

I am not trying to argue with anyone, I just dont understand how one car can be better then another when he is referring to parts in one that are identical to those in the other car!?!?!

Also in regards to the comment about why more people like Holden? Its all about the badge, they could stick a Expensive Daewoo badge on anything and it will sell. Have a look at the new P.O.S. Barina, Expensive Daewoo have sold more of them in 2 months then Deawoo did in a year.

as a loaner... an xt would be much better than walking

for loaners I have had Territorys and on one occassion a Fiest ( )

made me appreciate my T all the more

and personally I would hope there is a significant difference between an XT and a T considering the $11,525.00 difference in base RRP.

I think most people here could happily say there is, specially under the bonnet!

One thing I will say is that I think the plastic steering wheel has alot to do with the sh*tty feel that people may get from driving an XT, its really rough and uncomfortible to hold, I guess that could be the answer to why so many people downgrade the XT from the XR.

I can see how a XT can be seen as plasticy over the XR's as the XR's as a small bit of silver trim around the speedo and tacho, the XT's don't, also the steering wheel on the XT's are all the same plastic (which is lighter in colour), where as the XR's have darker plastic's and what looks to be a leather cover over a part of the wheel, whilst both these seem like such a minor things IMO it bring the feel of the car down to a cheaper level as it's all made of the same platic on the XT's...

Whilst the rest of the interior may be the same it's always the little differences that are noticed... (That and the standard XT dash lights are all green where as the XR's are blue, that doesn't help the XT's cause...)
