Just was flicking through the new wheels mag, and they had some olympic test day there was a HSV r8 and 6L SS, sti evo9, but no xr6 turbo or Typhoon? I wonder why? maybe the typhoon would of killed all the cars on track and left them wondering, that's the conclusion I have some down to and I think I am wright.

you never know, ford may of refused to give them test cars, or didnt have any available when wheels wanted them.

its seems to happen at motor as well.

I read a test in one issue between the evo 9, new sti, and to throw an aussie performance car in, a clubbie r8 !. clearly if your testing turbo performance cars and you want to throw in an aussie, youd go the typhoon wouldn't you?

Seems to me like a comparo between V8s and turbo 4s. Maybe the question should be "Why is there no GT or XR8"?

they made it pretty clear the main comparison was between the two turbo's, they just thought thed throw an aussie in as an afterthought. so , why no phoon?

Is it just me or does it seem that Holden/HSV always make their cars available for these mags?

Maybe after the clutch problem with the Typhoon ages ago Ford are a little gun shy about giving their cars to them as they just thrash the sh*t out of them, don't get me wrong I love reading about other people thrashing their cars but I'd hate to think what state they come back in...

The problem is, it gives the Expensive Daewoo army ammo against Ford because it outwardly seems that they are unwilling to provide their cars for a comparo... shame really...

Give them the auto. Better car and no clutch!

Guys,

Please read the articles in Wheels March edition carefully.

You'll see that there are at least 10 cars there that could give the F6 Typhoon a hiding on the track.

You'll also note that the reason FPV or Ford did not provide a test vehicle was that "they were up to their armpit" upgrading their vehicles.

How long has the BF range been released now? What upgrading are they referring to? Sounds more like excuses to me! Not to mention Ford's build quality issues!

Don't flame me, just a statement of fact.

Regard

Jacques
