Damn I had no idea it was 40degrees out there lastnight, awesome time considering Greg.

..............I was nowhere near 40 degrees last night. By the time the runs were done it would have been well below 30 degrees but it was a humid day.

well done greg.

Ben there is now way lucas has anywhere near 300 now since he removed all the pipe work ect, that's obvious in his time and mph, My xr ran 114 mph with 270 rwkw's ive already told lucas he will need a retune since removing the pipe work.

So how much power do you think the ute lost? Unlikely a great amount from pipe changes only.

And further to our conversation yesterday, I spoke to Greg, he has no boost issues, and his car is running in closed-loop boost mode. I'm kinda curious what would make you think it wasn't when in fact it is.

Did he tell you who's tune he liked the best? :spoton::spoton:

.

god I spend the day in hospital with my wife and log on to a load of sh*t floating everywhere. *Sigh*, now Jason, what did I say to you about the tune in Gregs car??? Lets be honost. I said it was a credit to the 2 of you for how smooth it was a credit where credit is due did I not? SO how bout everyone get off the ego trips and get back to reality. As for whos tune he likes best? Ask Greg, Bit hard to comment as I havent tuned his new car. From what he has said to me its a great street map.. so again Well done.... As for the boost control method? Who cares , it drives very nice. ANything else?

Im guessing about 15 rwkw's due to the fact he had to spend some time resetting his eboost trying to get it back. Just needs to be redone as its been changed since its last dyno.

300rwkw / 120mph in an auto probably, not in a 6-speed manual. More likely 340-360rwkw in a 6-speed manual. I can't speak for the 5-speed manual though.

I was actually thinking about this earlier and had a chat with a few people. I know pretty well what to expect out of auto's at given power levels. To be honest I have no idea what to expect from manuals. I don't believe there have been enough to get really accurate information yet. Others might be able to answer the manual side of things a lot better than I can. :spoton:

Looks like a night at WSID is required to see if I can beat my PB of 18 @ 60mph :spoton:

With all these big dyno figures coming out of the west might be time for a good ole fashion Hunt :tease:

ben the last time u ran my tune I was at the track with you and the car ran a 12.85 @114 but I guess if you want to quote it as less that's upto you

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Indeed it was simon, but the tune I ran 112mph was fixed after the initial dyno run, and not the tune that ran 299.7rwkw on Actives dyno, I still have that dyno graph. But if you choose to exclude this from your rationale, it's up to you.. Fact remains, my ute making 299.7rwkw on actives dyno ran 112mph.

I have a squillion dyno graphs which pertain to different 1/4 mile results, from every tuner. I did this to see what makes a fast 1/4 mile car, a nice street car and what 'feels' fast.

I am quoting figures based on KNOWN power outputs, on a comparitive dyno to Lucas' with relevant quater mile times... If I make 299.7rwkw on the same dyno Lucas made 300.5, and our ET & terminal times are within a mickey whisker, what's the problem? I have a manual, he has an auto with some piping removed. Pretty line ball I reckon, and a good comparrison.

I can't tell you what kind of power the tune was running when it went 12.8* because we fixed it on the road, not the dyno. I assume cloer to a genuine 285rwkw, as it picked up .05 and 1 mph over the '299.7rwkw' tune.. But I'd be guessing, and I don't quote a guess.
