Someone mentioned to me that stalling up can result in a loss of power through heat build up in the torque converter which might explain the result you got. Could there be any truth to this?So how are you finding the overall driving experience of the auto compared to the manual given the similar power levels?<{POST_SNAPBACK}>The only problem Steve is the loose nut behind the wheel. I’m sure with some practice and a slightly different tune for the plex it will go down ½ sec faster at least. The tune atm is very conservative and more a daily drive tune not one for the plex. Ill run her in a bit more first. As for the move from the manual to the auto ….well it’s a very smart transmission and it takes some manual driving to use it, if that makes sense?Say you do a burnout in performance mode then manually shift it to second it wont shift up above 2nd of course..but will shift down so if you creep upto the line still in this manual mode it will not shift above 2nd After you leave the line.Maybe the go is to do a burnout in 3rd and leave it in 3rd then shift 4 manually on the fly???Last night I shifted to performance for burnout then into 2nd then after the burnout back into drive to reset it, and then back into performance for the run!!Damn thing has more manual shifts than the manual. All good and I don’t know what’s the best option yet but plain old D for drive seemed as good as any @ Thanks Sid

Would you swap it for a Maloo???? <{POST_SNAPBACK}>Maloo....Smaloo...i'll stick with the T thanks....i think i wasnt able to use the slicks to there full potential because i didnt get a chance to get Simon to adjust my tune so i could stall the car past 2200 rpm without putting the car into limp mode

If there was any faster holdens there last night i would have heard about it because my Gf's brother is a holden freak so he would have made a song and dance about it. I think he was a bit taken aback after seeing your Tornado and my Ute do the quarter.i did run against a maloo one night several months ago and that ran an 11.9 i think but that was on the giggle gas.....maybe nos might be a good idea for the tornado....get that boost up earlier....... I doubt grip was an issue running that power?? 13.0 on slicks. ??This is why I'm not a drag racing fan per-sae. Anyone can have a kazillionty killowatts on 'X' dyno, but it will never perform as it 'should' in other peoples eyes. Everyones best efforts are too easily dismissed, and unless we were there and driving, we can't see what the conditions were like..Geea mentions 300rwkw will be good for 120mph, where does that put F6's like yours running 120mph with 370rwkw? and mine (to an extent) running 12.80 @ 115mph? It's easy to dismiss..I doubt they run there cars at 40 deg track temp + 62% humidity over there, as Lucus and Greg did..I'm not ( much ) but just puttting a few things into perspective, for the eastern staters... He wasnt talking about my ute he was talking about Gregs. im sure gregs et would have faster if he had been able to stall higher and use the extra grip to improve his 60ft timeim not sure exactly how much rwkw Gregs is running (he did tell me but i forgot) but he went 1 mph faster than me and .28 seconds quicker than me with out stalling so id say its a pretty fair comparission between the two cars.i ran the slick because they we're there. as i said above i have the capacity to stall to 3500 rpm on the convertor but havent had time to see simon for the changes to the tune so i was leaving the line at around 2000rpm anyway.do you really think my utes only making 240/250 rwkw when it went 1 mph slower than Gregs did?
