You DONT need to remove the seat.

Just put the seat right back and used the side controls to make it go right up. I think they are 10 or 12mm bolts

Its not if you have the right socket + extension and drive.

It will take more time to remove the seats undo all the wiring and have the risk of possibly damaging the car

You're right... thanks but I can't get the cable off the handle - need more slack. What do you suggest?
