One senseless act; so much suffering…. the families & friends, the police, the medical staff, the community; we are all affected by this….. Should make us all think and reflect before trying to believe we can do something foolish.

Exactly...I'm sure all our condolences go out to all family and friends that would be suffering due to their their loss.

Town 'not looking for blame'

FRIENDS and family reeling from the deaths of six Victorian teenagers killed in a horror road smash are not looking to apportion blame, a psychologist said.

Psychologist Graham Clue is coordinating counselling efforts at the four main schools affected by the tragedy, which occurred in the northwest Victorian town of Cardross, near Mildura.

"They're not looking for blame, they're not looking at anger in general, they're looking at getting through the next day,"Mr Clue told ABC radio.

"They're not going to forget about this but they're going to move on from it."

Five teenagers were killed when a Ford station wagon skidded into a crowd of people waiting for a taxi outside a birthday party in Myall Road, Cardross, on Saturday night.

The sixth victim, Josephine Calvi, 16, died in Royal Adelaide Hospital on Sunday night.

Condolence messages have poured in for the six youngsters whose lives were cut short on what was supposed to be a fun night out.

"So tragically taken from us on February 19, 2006, as a result of (an) accident at Cardross ... dearly loved and loving daughter of Carmel and Vince," a condolence message for Josephine in today's Herald Sun reads.

A message for 16-year-old Cory "Wally" Dowling said he will be sadly missed.

"We have known you all your life. We babysat you as a child. We will miss your smiling face ... Love Bob, Carol, Kristy and Jaclyn."

The Lalor Junior Football Club also paid tribute to the budding footballer, while another message declared "good memories of a great mate" would endure.

Messages for the Hirst family mark the tragic double loss of siblings Shane, 16, and Abby, 17.

"Dear Terry, Debbie and family, We are all so very saddened and shocked at the tragic loss of your two beautiful children Abby and Shane."

Another message simply notes: "Peacefully together."

The alleged driver of the vehicle, Thomas Graham Towle, 34, of Red Cliffs, faced Mildura Magistrates' Court yesterday.

He is charged with six counts of culpable driving causing death, four counts of negligently causing serious injury, one count of failing to stop at the scene of an accident and one count of failing to render assistance.

Towle was remanded to reappear before the same court on June 26.

Also killed in the crash were Stevie-Lee Weight, 15, and Cassandra Manners, 16.

Seven others were injured, and one of them remains in a critical condition at The Alfred hospital in Melbourne.

The 15-year-old boy, Marco Medici, was in a "critical but stable" condition late last night, according to a hospital spokeswoman.

Another 14-year-old boy remained in the Royal Childrens Hospital in a stable condition last night.

Very selfish man ....

he has such a long record.

the countless number of family, friends etc etc, whose lives have been ripped apart.

Was heartbreaking to watch the tributes by the teenagers on the news .
