Hi guys. I am picking up an 03 xr6 on tuesday, not a turbo but will have to do atm with a baby on the way. Was looking for some advice on some cheapish mods to increase performance. Looking for best value as the $$$ are getting a little tight.

Thanks for your help

Steve

Hiya Duc21,

Well Im in the same boat as you, well kinda. I dont have child on the way, but I dont have much dollars thanks to my 14 year old, but lets get back to your question. I put cold air induction on my 2004 BA XR6 and it flys. It cost me about $300 for the kit and put in on myself without too much trouble. I was happliy amazed with pickup and power that I got outta this easy mod. Give it a go if you have the cash I reckon its worth it. :stirthepot:

Cold air, filter and perhaps a edit and exhuast would be the way to go..

I mite do it one day or I might just buy a Typhoon, im really not that upset with the power the NA has, it does the job...

All mine has is CAI and K&N Filter.

I have seen an XR6 around with a 215 sticker on it and as far as I know the guy has done, filter, exhauset and SS inductions kit.

Really depends on how much you want to pay for a good exhaust. :spoton:

I can also personally recommend

http://www.jimmockmotorsport.com

Direct link to the packages (says BA, but they do BF as well of course):

http://www.jimmockmotorsport.com/html/DEV_kits_BA.php

Ask for Brendan, and have a chat. Never met a more enthusiastic, friendly bloke. They did all the work on my EF (still got it, bless it's iron heart), and it's pushing out 160rwkw with DEV3HL cam, mild head, race extractors and full exhaust

Their BA/BF NA packages are actually better value for what you pay too.

Put it this way - I'm driving a Typhoon, and I will always miss slamming my foot to the floor, having the 4-spd change down, pushing me into my seat and hearing that exhaust scream like a banshee (but only under full throttle of course).

Go Mock - you will NOT regret it.
