In its physical and chemical composition. Like bringing out the BarraT engine with 220kw's in a conservitive car.More options for unsatisfied consumers.Like putting cheese on junior burgers....All about marketing and the sheep they call the public.....Mobil 1 = Mobil 1 a hugely expensive oil to research design and produce, but marketing people have told them they need to have options for consumers or they will loose sales to companies that sell oil in yellow or green or flourecent bottles... Or have picture of naked women on the packaging.......Get this now.. Mobil 1 = Mobil

Although some are harder to find in stores than others.0W-4010W-305W-5015W-50http://www.mobil.com/Australia-English/LCW...ces/Mobil_1.asp<{POST_SNAPBACK}>Duuuude...............Mobil 1Run it in your car and you will be OK....Do you get it yet????Ask Mobil for the Data sheets and you will see there is absolutely no difference between the products you mention....Mobil 1 is the same product no matter how they package it.... Just make sure you change it every 8000 max. and do not push your car in above 35 degree air temp....Oils are oils......<{POST_SNAPBACK}>Blonk are you suggesting that Mobil is guilty of false and misleading advertising? Here are two examples from their website.Mobil 1 10W-30 SAE Grade 10W-30 Viscosity, ASTM D 445 cSt @ 40º C 62 cSt @ 100º C 10.0 Viscosity Index, ASTM D 2270 147 Sulfated Ash, wt%, ASTM D 874 1.0 HTHS Viscosity, mPa·s @ 150ºC ASTM D 4683 3.14 Pour Point, ºC, ASTM D 97 -45 Flash Point, ºC, ASTM D 92 224 Density @15º C kg/l, ASTM D 4052 0.86 Mobil 1 0W-40 SAE Grade 0W-40 Viscosity, ASTM D 445 cSt @ 40º C 80 cSt @ 100º C 14.3 Viscosity Index, ASTM D 2270 187 Sulfated Ash, wt%, ASTM D 874 1.2 HTHS Viscosity, mPa·s @ 150ºC ASTM D 4683 3.6 Pour Point, ºC, ASTM D 97 -54 Flash Point, ºC, ASTM D 92 236 Density @15º C kg/l, ASTM D 4052 0.855 Whilst I don't understand half of that garbage, there is a distinct difference. Are you saying that they are an identical oil in a different bottle?

Can get lots of magnatec for the price of Mobil 1. tom

To my supprise he said the same as F.I.S.T performance here in Brisbane said 5W-50 Mobil 1 if you can afford it or stick to the Castrol Synthetic. At high temps the turbo needs a thicker oil 0w (Weight) is to thin and at high ambiant temps will cause problems. Here in the last few months it has not got below 26 deg at night most days in the 34 - 37 deg via the outside temp probe on the T.F.I.S.T have always reccomended to me the 5W-50 Mobil 1. in some of there cars 300RWKW + must be OK.
