Was there any 2 ton Utes with 290rwkw do 120mph, 11 second  pass’s

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

No TT Boss last night. HPF has problems with both their cars.

Only the one BA (Seden or Ute) went under 12's last night. Goldbullets with Craig at the wheel. (At least that I noticed)

Seemed pretty much everything was slooooowwwww.

Even the rice burners were often into the 14's last night.

Seemed like too much heat, and not enough traction all around :kissmy:

Still a good night to catch up with fellow forum members :spoton: , and have a yarn or two.

Come on July :-)

What did the TT GT run?

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

didn't make it Jeff.

I understand the transmission had been being worked on, and did not arrive back to hpf until lunchtime (if Craig or someone in the real know would like to correct please feel free... ). I think they basically ran out of time.

Cheers,

Ben.

All in all a fun night - great to catch up with all and sundry, and many thanks to all those who patiently explained to me how everything works, and to Dave for organising everything - running from the infield was magic mate - well done!!!! :kissmy::tease:

Unfortunately my car did not want to play properly, and had a severe case of running out of breath in the top end, which is usually where it is at its best. It definitely felt well down on power and very low mph backed this up. This was definitely not just the heat! :spoton:

My best ET was 13.5 which was faster than I had actually expected given this was my first ever time to the drags and I am not the best launcher or gear changer getting around. In the end I was very frustrated with the fact that I could not go faster, but comfortable that the car (even with me behind the wheel) should be easily capable of getting into the 12's once the power issue is sorted.

I think I also used about 70% of the life of my clutch :fool: - poor thing - this has been great for normal city driving but really is poorly suited for hard launches...

Well done to everyone who had a crack! And thanks again - I had a blast, and will definitely be back to see if I can post some decent times!

Cheers, :fool:

Ben.

Times I think were a little low all round last night. The melbourne cars arent used to this tropical weather stuff - just too hot for anything near a PB.

I think my best was 12.68 @ 110 which was my first run of the night. After that, even with 90 minute cool down periods between runs, the car just went slower and slower, 12.7, 13.0 :tease:

I even ran a 20 :spoton: Lost traction at the line in a big way and just cruised the length of track :kissmy:

Bring on July :fool:

There was an XR8 ute running a supercharger. I think it has 300-310rwkw's. It managed a best of 11.4@120mph. This was Chris from BluePower.

Dave's car ran a best of 11.8 with a best MPH of 119. The dyno sheet said 303rwkw's but Rob@HPF said the dyno still wasn't calibrated properly and the car probably had closer to 330rwkw's. When these cars were running it was 35C ambient. Chris matched his best or close to it. After driving Dave's car I think that it could probably go a bit quicker both MPH and ET.

Luke I was proud of you mate, you kept right up it spinning your way through the first 60ft and I thought Craig and I were the only ones crazy enough to do that!

It was a good night!

Even though I left my ute in the car park I still had a ball watching everyone get out there and have a crack.

It was good to meet and have a chat with so many of people that I see on here daily.

See you all at the next one! :stirthepot:
