I know that each car is different.<{POST_SNAPBACK}>I got mine dynoed with the 8psi and it was a complete disaster. The guy was a dropkick. All he was after was some lunch money I be thinkin'.After 3 runs, the best it could muster was 197 at the wheels. Yes that's right!! Something SERIOUSLY wrong there somewhere....and no it is not with my car. I ran a poll not too long back and the norm seem to point to around 240 at the wheels on 10psi generic tune.If you are looking at running the 10psi generic, I would seriously recommend spending the extra $350-$400 for a custom tune. If not just for the extra power, but just for peace of mind. When running 75% more boost than standard, you wanna make DAMN sure everything is running OK.Hope this is helped.Cheers Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/23426-exhaust-system/page/2/#findComment-349503 Share on other sites

Too dronie he said. I thought it sounded nice but hey....I wasn't driving it everyday.I thing (IMO) if you were going to do anything to the system, just replace it from front to back. Forgetting about the slight increase power gain, at least they sound hot.Cheers Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/23426-exhaust-system/page/2/#findComment-349506 Share on other sites

Consider replacing the CAT which is its restriction and even then only above 250RWKWish. Removing the centre muffler provides no identifiable benefits to vehicles performance other than creating more noise. APS exhausts are available, look around.Dingah Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/23426-exhaust-system/page/2/#findComment-349669 Share on other sites

If you are to get a turbo back system you would need to get a custom tuned edit to suit it. If you change the exhaust and find the car runs fine without a retune then the new system isn't any better than the one it replaced. If your in Sydney give Tuffy's a ring or ask DBOSS or BCL. If in Melbourne give the guys at Fastfit in Frankston a ring. Both shops do good work.Geea. <{POST_SNAPBACK}>So would I just be better off removing the center muffler? If I remove it should I put hotdogs in? Would I need a custom tune if I removed the center muffler? Would the generic CAPA tune work? With the edit, it is my understanding now that CAPA generic tunes are so good now its not worth getting a custom tune, is that correct? I hope to get about 240rwkw. Is that possible with stock manual T56 2nd Typhoon CAI/BMC Filter, Center Muffler removed, without putting the stock internals at too much risk?<{POST_SNAPBACK}>I took my centre muffler out for more power but I dont think it made any difference only noisier which I think sounds OK.I heard a turbo the other day with centre gone and hot dogs and couldn't tell the difference from the factory system.BTW the turbo I heard was getting a flash and custom tune he got 240rw with a manual.
