Well Since I'm going stage 2 Nizpro in the near future I figured the rest of the driveline may as well get a looking at. Around what stage does the standard clutch call it a day? If I drive it sensible(haha won't happen though) should I be ok for a while or will it still need replacing reasonably quick?

When it comes to replacing the clutch what are my options? Twin plate items? Beefier organic clutch? What is the cost of the items previous experiance in other cars I'll be looking at around $1000-1500 is this accurate?

I found that the standard clutch started slipping with the capa 8psi generic tune. This happened the 1st time the car came on boost with the new tune. It appeared to be unrelated to driving or wear as the clutch had done 19000 km and appeared as good as new on removal. Reloading the standard tune stopped the clutch slipping. I have since installed a Mal Woods stage 1 clutch and it is copping with the Capa 10 psi tune. The pedal effort is marginally heavier than standard and the take up is a lot more positive.

I'm currently running around 250rwkw, and although my standard clutch hasn't slipped once (freak!) I ordered the mal wood option 2 10.5 inch ceremetallic clutch. Its good for around 330rwkw, and with the new mods going on shortly (pushing towards 300rwkw) I dont think the standard clutch will hold no matter how much of a freak it appears to be!

The option 2 clutch is $975, plus whatever postage needs to be paid. I didnt need the flywheel, but if you opt for flywheel too, its an extra $500 or so.

I will keep you guys posted about how it feels once its installed!
