I pick up my BF XR6 Friday, and am thinking of turnng it into a turbo. I know I need to upgrade the brakes, and more....

Any ideas who to go to in Melbourne??

Also, I couldn't get the new 6sp auto as I needed the $2K cashback, so I'm stuck with the updated 4sp....

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,

NB

Do it once do it right especially if you go auto pay the extra to get the 6 speed.

If you couldnt come up with the rest to buy a 6 speed auto, why would you think of a turbo on a NA XR6.

Do as Stang said.Buy a XR6T if you want a turbo.

hi and welcome nbtopstars,

alas you arent flattering yourself with your first post old chap...why didnt you buy a 2nd hand BA turbo??? Youve clearly got the dough and would have ended up with a 4spd turbo.

Nice purchase anyway dude. :spoton:

Too right there if you can't aford the new BF which I might add am mighty jealous at the 6spd auto. The XR6T BA MkII is a definite considering the price you may pay for an ex-demo or ultra-low kms package.. well that's one thing I considered and the car's going to be much more better engineered in the long run :spoton:

For the price you have payed for the BF XR6 you could have bought a MkII BA Turbo easy!

It would have been a much better and cheaper option. You can spend $1000's on the NA and it still won't be as fast as a stock Turbo.

Good luck with it!

The whole reason for buying a BF would be to get you hands on the ZF auto.

I dont see the point if you are going to get a 4 speed auto you might as save your self a lot of money and getting a MKII and if you ticked the Turbo box you would still be a few grand ahead.
