I too live in Canberra and will pick up my car on Wednesday next week. (I hope)

I don't know what dealer you are buying your car from but they :spit: suck.

When I orderd my car they told me what date they had allocated on the line for a particular vehicle (eg first week in March) and they were correct.

Ford notified them (via system) the vehicle was built, dispatch was this week and delivery next.

I don't like giving out names over the forum so just drop me an email and we can check to see if it's the same dealer.

I have no problems so far, they have been very good. :spit:

All the best,

Creepy.

Same here,

My car was 11 weeks overdue, dealer didn't call once. Two guys who work with me ordered XR8's the first was 5 weeks overdue and came up with the wrong wheels on it, and the other was 6 weeks overdue. The dealers didn't call, they didn't care, the only way we found out what was going on was by rining them.

Hope your pride and joy goes well for you, because you should see how much they care if you need something fixed!

Cheers

Looking to update the company car and still deciding on either a T, XR8 or a phoon.. Beside the dilema of what one to choose from a preference viewpoint.

Has anyone got recent delivery expectations for the 3 models?

I am in NSW and obviously ordering through Fleet..

Cheers

Everybody is ignoring you ecraig :spit:

Typhoon could be some time still while they sort clutches out. Have a search as there was an update somewhere on the expected delivery dates.

XR8, T, or N/A is probably a 6 week delivery depending on options etc.

Good luck.

FYI

I've had my XR6T for 4 days now so this is probably as good as you'll get on current delivery times for XR6T at least:- ordered it on the 8/02, it arrived in Mackay Nth QLD on the 12/03 so about 5 weeks for the Turbo, just for the record this delivery was done on an optioned up vehicle (Premium interior and Premium brakes) the dealer took delivery on the 4/03 and had it for a week to get towbar, tint, paint protection and soundproofing done .

The vehicle was done through leaseplan however I placed a deposit myself and made the order to expidite the delivery,

Cheers

I have got a MkII GT on order. Got a call from the dealer today to say that it will be ready in the last week of this month. Just went into FPV today. If it does turn up in the last week of this month, that will make it 5 weeks. When I placed the order they said between 6 and 8 weeks .. which is a hell of a lot better than when I order my T. That one took 3 months!!

Thanks for the update...

So Typhoons are on hold???? That makes the decision a bit easier.. Not Waiting months.

My AU XR6 is in the panel shop at the moment.. Had a fight with a truck and a pole.. Came close to a write off.

Now driving a Suzuki Baleno, I miss my Ford...

3 weeks to get the AU back, then more waiting for a new one...

Decision would be easier if they had a Turbo Territory.....
