Well I fianlly got off my arse and went down to Sunshine Ford and was told they had one left for this year. So I ordered it. They said it would be delivered mid December. I feel sorry for you guys who have had to wait sooo long. Maybe so many are allocated to each dealer??

I am getting a pretty much standard XR6t in Phantom with Plexis Phantom trim - $48,008.50. Can't wait, just hope they are serious about the mid December delivery!

I kinda feel bad that I'm not getting a sunroof. Hopefully the supply will be there asap to meet the demand for all you guys.

Don't really see the point personally, I just hope they are top quality and don't cause rust problems in the future for your pride & joy. Prev. Ford sunrooves have been, hmmm, not the best. I remember thinking about buying an EL XR6 with every feature/add on you could think of but ended up going for the AU XR6 VCT. There were bubbles under the paint forming ALREADY on the EL, only had 80,000 on the clock???

Have you experienced the air conditioning in the BA's? 10 settings from a mild breeze to "Holy S**t,,,Brrrr" Car cools down in 30 seonds easily. I suppose there is one advantage, easy access for giving a HSV driver "the bird" after you leave them in a cloud of dust. :lol:

I'm still hoping my XR-6 will be arriving in Brisbane mid December. Just in time for Christmas and 2 weeks to run the bugger in.

Well, our dealer called this morning to update us on expected delivery. l gritted my teeth and here is what he said.

Our car is expected to be delivered from Ford to FPV on 23/11 where it then will have the premium brakes installed. He didnt know how long FPV would have the car for but figured it should arrive at the dealership by the end of next week. Davocol updated me also this morning, with my SIDO indictaing that our car was presently in the paint shop. l guess what our delaer told us ties in with that. l am happy enough with that provided it doesnt blow out by another 2 weeks!

Apparently we are lucky because we went for the manual. Our dealer had spoken to someone in Ford who is the go between for the dealers and the factory who reckons that no autos will be delivered as they are waiting on a part from one of their suppliers. Didnt know how long the delay would be. Have any of you who ordered autos heard this? Is it true or BS?

Dealer also said that they have sold every XR6T allocated to the dealership until end of March next year and that he has another 20 orders pending test drives. Peolpe are trading in and handing over their car now to wait until next March for their Turbo. Geez March could easily become May the way things are going at present. He reckoned that they probably wouldnt even bother getting a turbo on as a demo, they cant keep up with demand as it is.

And besides, by the time 20 test pilots had revved the ring out of it, it would probably be shagged anyway <:^)

I don't know about you guys but any1 who ordered an xr6t from Duhig Ford Essendon will not and I repeat WILL NOT be getting it until the middle of december

I have had my dealer delivery date put back for the 5th time to 22nd Nov.

The song from the TV ad keeps going around in my head except the words have changed to "I'VE HAD ENOUGH OF THIS".

There is some hope on the horizon though as the dealer told me that an XR6T arrived for a customer yesterday. Lucky bastard.

So this is proof that deliveries have started.
