The mystery man who paid $860,000 to own the first Ford GT must wait until "next summer" for the car. Bought at a charity auction in Pebble Beach, California, the GT will be marked as the 10th, with the first nine being used by Ford. For dsays the retail price for the 375kW two-seater will be less than $US150,000 ($232,000).

Attached is a piccie of the US's new GT. Sweet. I can just hear myself driving with the "Here he comes, here comes Speed Racer, he's a demon on wheels...." :D

Some may remember my post when I ordered my XR6T in mid-June. This was for a mid-November delivery when my current company car goes 'tubby bye bye'. I was told a week after the order was placed that my vehicle was scheduled as a mid-October build.

No problems.

Well I got a call from the dealer 3 days ago. My car arrived at the dealership on Monday - almost 2 months early!

Nobody can explain it, but it's there, all the right options, etc.

The REALLY bad part, is I can't accept delivery :cussing:

I will cost me $720 dollars in additional replayments to accept it now. So I have chosen to wait :(

Anybody else have there T appear early???

WOW, 2months early.

This would have caused problems if it had of happened to me that's for sure. A car still to sell privately and no doubt finance still to organise. l can understand why you had to pass.

Its seems stupid that your car can unexpectedly turn up 2 months early
